MovieHouse is an entire night out. You can come to eat dinner while enjoying the view from the top-floor windows; you might even see the ocean. Then get your popcorn, maybe bring a glass of wine, and relax into the reclining red velvet. When you enter the screening room, it sure looks like old time grandeur – however, there’re no squeaky seats, and you’ll be so comfortable you won’t want to leave again. You’ll even get your own little pillow, and there are blankets for extra coziness.
Allegedly the owner has travelled the world to procure unique interiors to mix with Danish design in both café and cinema. Personally, I love the result, and if you’re someone who appreciates these kinds of details to go along with a great movie, then you will love this place as well.
MovieHouse is in the same building as Experimentarium, a really cool interactive science museum, and right next door, you can do a little shopping at Waterfront, a small’ish mall with a good selection of shops and cafés. The Tuborg Havn area has a distinct business’y feel to it, but there’s also some interesting architecture as well as lovely ocean views.
