On a particularly serene canal lies Restaurant Kanalen. Placed in a classic building typical for the area, right beside the canal, the interior of Kanalen is neat and tidy yet unpretentious. During the summer months, you can enjoy the charming outdoor tables, which are utterly cozy during a mild Copenhagen summer evening.
As its inclusion in the Michelin guide for each of the past six years suggests, the food at Kanalen is a journey for the senses, exquisitely prepared and astonishingly presented, revealing an array of stunning flavours, some expected, other surprising, meshing seamlessly for a truly unique experience in every bite.
As this is a fine dining place, like the menu considerately suggests, make sure to order enough courses, both to be able to indulge in as many culinary journeys as possible and to not depart this fine establishment still feeling hungry.
