As someone who grew up in Poland, I have a very soft spot in my heart for dumplings, Polish dumplings of course, but Bullet – Duck and Dumplings stole my heart altogether in that matter to reinvent my taste for them and it all happened here, in the middle of Dublin inner city. I came across this spot completely by accident and I’ve been coming back ever since. The place is really tiny and during lunchtime can be overwhelmingly busy, so make sure you visit it past 3pm when you will be able to enjoy a little peace and quiet and the best Chinese.
The name of the place comes from the type of Chinese oven – the bullet. They actually have it in the kitchen (yes, I’m nosy) and it was imported directly from China to make sure all the flavours were as authentic as they can be in a European country. Apart from dumplings, they also serve all kinds of roast meats (apologies to all vegetarians, you will have a really hard time finding something here) and their specialty is roast duck, which is so delicious you will want to come back here the next day.
It’s charming, it’s relaxing and the food is absolutely divine. A perfect spot for a snack while exploring the northern side of the city.
