You really can't walk down most streets in Dublin without coming across a handful of coffee shops. Great news for the coffee lovers among us but with so much choice standards can vary wildly in terms of taste and indeed price. In my experience if you're paying around the € 3 mark for a coffee it's probably not going to be great. In coffee terms I believe that you actually get more if you're paying less.
The Dublin Barista School is the perfect example of this theory. They serve some of the best coffee you will find in Dublin and at reasonable prices. And if you want to learn how to make coffee just as good at home there is a one day barista training course on offer here too!
The area where you queue for your coffee is a little tight on space but out the back and upstairs they have quiet seating and a small bench outside if you're lucky enough to visit when the sun is shining, yet another reason to give the chain shops a miss. If the weather is good and you want your coffee to go, the Saint Stephen's Green is just around the corner. The clue may be in the name of this particular coffee shop but they offer such a great coffee because these guys really love everything about those little brown beans.
