In keeping with its location in the same Victorian shopping arcade as The Market Bar, Lolly and Cooks is little more than a market stall itself. This makes it a great place to grab an informal quick bite to eat or indeed just a coffee to go.
They do a great selection of super healthy salads, soups and hot-pots. But they are known particularly for two things. The first is their extensive range of fantastic looking cupcakes. I say fantastic looking, as I don't have a sweet tooth I can't vouch for the taste but if they are as easy on the tongue as they are on the eye then they are sure to be delicious.
The second thing they are renowned for is their somewhat legendary Savage Rolls. Substantial rolls of different flavored pork wrapped in buttery pastry, these I can definitely tell you are heavenly. There is a small counter-top with three or four stools which, if you're lucky enough to grab a free one, make for a great place to enjoy some food or a drink and soak up the buzz of the arcade.
