Do you know what's new in Florence? Well, an ancient "buchetta del vino" has been reopened at last! Have a walk in via di Santo Spirito and stop at Babae, ring the bell and ask for a glass of wine and drink it on the footwalk. Alternatively, you can have a seat inside and even something to eat. I've tried the "polletto" and the "tris di crostoni", really tasty.
The restaurant is cozy and full of plants. If you use Instagram, you will go crazy taking pictures inside it. Even the clients are trendy... they are mainly students from arts and design schools (well, at least that's my feeling!) and you feel like at the Pitti Immagine week, but in a friendly atmosphere.
What's a buchetta del vino? It's a traditional wine window used to offer wine to wayfarers. There are so many "buchette" in Florence -- enjoy finding them all in the city center.
