"Biblioteca delle Oblate" is the most important meeting point for Florence's students. It's got a great atmosphere & environment and a charming cafeteria!

Biblioteca delle Oblate is the most important meeting point for the students living close to the centre of Florence. Unfortunately, when I used to be a student, I used to live a bit too far from it and there was no point for me in going to study there. Anyway, I always loved the atmosphere and the environment. I often stopped by for a while on Saturday afternoon, reading some newspapers, drinking something or just reading my own book.

I like it because there's a lot of free space in the garden and also a lot of space on the huge inner balconies at the upper floors and people can gather there, for studying or just socialising.

Inside the library there is a cafeteria (open when the library is open) and you'll see local students drinking espresso there at any time of the day and of the night, especially when exams are near.

"Gelateria Badiani" is one of Florence's most historical ice cream shops. In 1979 they invented a new gelato flavour (Buontalenti) and it's still a secret.
