I discovered BAKED on a walk back from work. As soon as I read "Pizza al Taglio" (which means pizza by the slice in Italian) I knew these guys knew what they were doing!
Baked is my go-to spot when I'm craving some pizza. They have many choices from the classic Margherita slice to veggie and vegan options. I still have not tried them all but my favourite is the Potato and rosemary slice, make sure to try this beauty of carbs on top of carbs!
For the ones of you that prefer more than a slice BAKED has also options for 13'' Tonda pizza, which is the classic version of "Round" Pizza.
The ingredients are fresh and the menu changes regularly to keep up with the seasons. They also have an amazing selection of Italian delicacies coming all the way from Italy! Check their Instagram page for the latest updates.
I usually stop here for some pizza slices and proper Tiramisù (it tastes like Granny made it, and my Granny is Italian) before going exploring the nearby Necropolis.
They offer takeaway options and deliveries, make sure to give them a call and tell them how you prefer your pizza: hot or cold. If I'm planning to take eat it at home I usually order it cold so I can heat it up at home. This will avoid your pizza getting too cold on the walk back in the Scottish weather!
