Better known as the GFT, Glasgow's original independent cinema shows a wide variety of films — Hollywood favs, documentaries, international films, old classics and art house films. If you want 3D, overpriced food and tickets, stick to the big cinema chains. If you want quality films, old-style cinemas, a cozy bar and reasonably-priced tickets, come here.
The GFT has special seasons throughout the year and is home to the excellent Glasgow Film Festival. There's always a superb choice of films and even some freebies at 10:30am during the Film Festival. Check the website to find out what's on. Tickets for some shows on Friday are only £6.50.
