Licorella delicatessen is a very stylish and chic little café, whose primary focus is on selling coffee and their all-day menu of sandwiches and sweet treats. Another lovely location just off of Hyndland road, on Clarence Drive, Glasgow, their pasties, cakes and unique combination of sandwiches, all on homemade bread, make for an absolutely perfect Sunday treat for any tourist, visitor, or new arrival getting accustomed with the west end.
The café is quite a petite little venue, but is excellent for grabbing a coffee or hot chocolate in the winter. A significant portion of the front wall is comprised of a large glass window, opening up the building and making it seem larger, and making it easy to watch passers-by on the streets of Hyndland (I am guilty of doing this).
The windows that wrap around the majority of the walls also help open up the space quite significantly. They also sell a large selection of exotic and imported coffee and beautiful chocolates that melt in the mouth. Their produce is good quality and fresh, making it a popular coffee shop for those living in the west end. Admittedly this venue is also a little more on the expensive side, so it is good for a treat every now and again but not ideal for every day stop-offs. This is primarily due to the wide range of produce, the craft and attention to detail that has gone into all the food, definitely making this little location well-worth a visit.
