As can be seen from my articles so far, Çukurcuma is my favorite neighborhood, and Faik Pasa is my treasured street in Istanbul. That’s why whenever a new place opens here, I always feel the urge to go and explore it.

47 Tapas Meze has been in my notes for a while now, and finally, I had the pleasure of enjoying a nice early dinner and was convinced to add this place to my articles.

Ok, I need to confess. The first thing that attracted me to 47 Tapas Meze is the tables overlooking the street where you can watch people passing by and witness the life flowing in Çukurcuma while enjoying your dinner and wine.

As the name suggests, 47 Tapas Meze offers cold & hot tapas and appetizer plates like cheese paired with a good selection of wines. They use seasonal products and fresh ingredients, which I love in a restaurant. Since their sourdough bread is the brand I buy for home too, I feel more confident & happy with what I eat.

When it comes to food, taste is certainly important, but so is the visual appeal of the dish. Get ready to be impressed by the simple yet inspiring dishes while making enjoyable memories.

Overall, 47 Tapas Meze is a great way to have a casual dinner in the unique charm of Çukurcuma. Although no reservation is needed here, I would suggest going for an early dinner to make sure you get my favorite seats – the ones by the window. 😉
