All religions have their own way of prayer to their creator. As long as we are open to new ideas, observations and know how to respect it's all an experience. Sultan Ahmet Mosque is one of the most visited touristic spots in İstanbul.
It's very easily accessible and a must spot during the Full Day Tours in Istanbul. But once in the mosque you will notice that tourists are allowed to only to one section, the rest is "no-entry" because that section (the first half of the mosque floor) is allowed for the people to pray.
Obviously no one would like to be disturbed by tourist while praying. I took the privilege to go into the prayer section and document the above photograph to give you an idea on what's going on. As documents above you see a believer reciting the Quran and another one praying.
Everyone to enter the mosque will have to take off their shoes so you observe the people with their socks. This is a mystic experience and I must say if you ever have a chance to stop in Sultan Ahmet Mosque, do take your time.
