Yenikoy Kitapcisi (Bookstore) is an independent publishing house located in the charming neighborhood of Yeniköy. I am happy to say that It is a true hidden gem that brings together the delights of literature and the comforts of coffee under one roof.

What truly sets Yenikoy Kitapcisi apart is that they proudly showcase books from lesser-known publishing houses, celebrating the diversity and creativity of the literary world. The shelves are lined with selective book collections, promising hours of exploration with diverse tastes and interests.

In addition, a comfy sitting nook near the window is my favorite location to snuggle into a comfortable chair with a book in one hand and a very standard coffee in the other. The gentle music in the background also provides a relaxing environment. A nice note: the bookstore is one of the locations for the annual jazz festival held in September, known as Yenikoy Caz Günleri.

In my opinion, the best way to escape from the urban hustle is this synergy between the bookshelves and the small coffee bar where time seems to slow down and moments are enjoyed. Whether you’re in search of a quiet reading spot or simply a place to relax with a cup of joe, this small bookstore is sure to capture your heart and imagination.
