As you might have already noticed Kyiv loves coffee. Locals drink coffee while working and while walking around, in the morning and at night, in the metro and in the taxi. Good coffee is worshiped and valued. But the most lovable thing about coffee is just having a moment to enjoy it without hurry. This option is available in Moya knyzhkova polytsya ('My bookshelf').
Moya knyzhkova polytsya is located not far from Kreshchatyk street and Teatralna metro station and is not a usual coffee house. Basically it’s a coffee house with books. Here you can spend your time doing two of most enjoyable things in the world: drinking coffee and reading. In Moya knyzhkova polytsya you’ll definitely find one of your favorite books (in English, too!) and good coffee. And if you get hungry, there are some snacks – sweets, sandwiches and pies. When I am waiting for someone or have some free time, I like to spend it in Moya knyzhkova polytsya.
