Ferry is a pretty cool way of public transport, isn't it? You can use it to get to the other side of the river. The first option, it's what I usually do: run from Trafaria to Caparica to enjoy a beach day, walk along the ocean, or have a great lunch at Pluto.
The other option is to enjoy this scenic ride with amazing views of the Maat Museum, bridge, and other parts of Belem and Alcantara. You finish it with a lavish lunch in one of the local fish restaurants of Trafaria. Savour the freshest grilled fish or varieties of seafood surrounded by the local Portuguese crowd. On weekends, they even have live music.
Furthermore, you can also use the ferry with a car, so you avoid the traffic on the bridge or take your bike and explore numerous cycling routes.
