O Ciclo is a family-run sustainable restaurant in the heart of the Mouraria. Young Portuguese couple Claudia and Jose came back to Lisbon after 6 years in France (Paris, Champagne) to create their project. They opened the restaurant focused on seasonal and local produce, recreating Portuguese and French recipes. Using influences from Japan and other Asian cuisines to preserve, ferment, and prevent waste.
The restaurant has 20 seats, and you can either choose from the ala carte menu or you can dive into the degustation menu, consisting of 7 courses. I definitely advise you to try it all and choose the degustation. Prepare yourself for a ride full of contrasting flavours, and textures dancing in perfect harmony with wine pairing.
Claudia is in charge of the service, she will gladly help you choose the perfect wine and guide you through the menu, while Jose will create the astonishing food creation in the kitchen. The space is beautiful, and almost everything is custom-made, you can adore jars with pickles and other condiments filling the walls.
