In Ljubljana’s southwest corner, the so-called Technology Park was built. It hosts many companies, start-ups etc. I don’t go there often, well I am hardly ever there, but whenever I am, I know where I will be having my lunch. At FTP bistro.

The neat design and amazing offer is something that makes me happy whenever I do go there and am able to have lunch. Their daily lunch offer has at least four options: vegetarian, fish, meat and even low-carb lunch. Besides that, they offer something “extra special” as they call it, and daily freshly made soup and dessert. Until 10:30, they serve breakfast. Together with more standard offers like eggs and oatmeal, they serve čokolešnik as well. This is a sort of children’s food, soft flakes with chocolate that is very popular in Slovenia and not usually found on the menu in restaurants.

The drinking part is also covered neatly by having some craft beers, an interesting selection of wine and, last but not least, šabesa. As you’ve probably guessed, this word in italics has something to do with Slovenia. Šabesa is a juice made – let’s be a bit romantic – by our grandmothers from elderflowers that cover Slovenia in late spring.
