Raw Pasta opened last year in one of my favorite hidden corners in the center, just a few meters away from the sort-of-the-best street in Ljubljana named Trubarjeva cesta Street. Being a fan of Mediterranean and Italian food, this new place instantly drew my attention.
It is owned by an Italian couple that follows the best Italian tradition. They prepare fresh pasta daily which you can buy raw to make at home, or they cook it in front of you. The place has a few seats so you can sit and eat there or you can take it away. They have vegan options too.
My favorites are the paccheri of full-grained flour with tomato sauce, (amazing) burrata, and pistachios. They have also some very typical dishes from various parts of Italy like bigoli - which are typical Venetian spaghetti with salted cod and crispy onions. For my next meal there, I am still gathering the courage to order the spaghettone with cocoa.
