Enter the vivid world of drawn characters by walking into a comic book store that is more than just that! Doubling as a creative studio, it is "home" not only to comic books and graphic novels, but also Slovene artists Izar Lunaček (who is also in charge of the store) and Mateja Korbar, journalist Neža Mrevlje and cultural association Pripovedovalski Variete.
Flipping through pages done by my personal favorite authors (such as Bastiene Vivés or Brecht Evens) always helps me take my mind off problems for at least a short while. Stripolis offers two very comfy armchairs to help get lost in the cartoon adventures or peek at Izar working on his soon-to-be newest hottest Slovenian comic book. If you're nosy like me you can ask him about it - he just might give you a preview. And if not, you can always look up his work on the shelves. If you don't understand Slovene, they've got you covered with English Lunaček and Juren: Animal Noir. And guess what? I think it makes for a magnificent souvenir.
P. S. Oh! And don’t forget to take a selfie next to the statuette of a naughty garden dwarf while you're there (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. *wink wink*)
