Dating back to 1923, the Biltmore Hotel is one of the most beautiful buildings in Los Angeles. It’s worth stopping by just to take a good look around the lobby but, even with the most basic ninja skills, you can find your way inside some of its amazing ballrooms or up to the higher floor hallways. Just be mindful there are some ghost stories concerning the second and the ninth floor, so proceed with caution!
The amazing interiors of this hotel have been immortalized in a number of films, most recently Beginners by Mike Mills, who’s clearly a fan of the place. As he mentions, the Oscars were also hosted here many times, especially in the '30s (if you’re wondering, the ballroom used was the Biltmore Bowl). The hotel also houses two restaurants, a café and a bar – all among the finest in LA and with the same level of opulence as the rest of this incredible building.
