At the end of Culver Blvd, adjacent to one of the last quiet beaches along the Los Angeles coastline, sits Playa Provisions. I enjoy it for the atmosphere, view, and relaxed vibe. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu includes a variety of options that lean towards healthy seafood. As a vegetarian, my personal favorite is the stewed beluga lentils with kale. Drinks, fresh squeezed juices and coffee are also available.
The restaurant conveniently has ample seating with a choice of the doggie patio (bring your ‘Fur Kids’), family-style shared seating near the deli counter, indoor dining room, or my favorite, the outdoor patio.
The outdoor patio has a view of the sand dunes and provides umbrellas for shade on sunny days, or three private fire pits and blankets for days with a chillier ocean breeze. The atmosphere is casual and you may overhear ‘Silicon Beach’ employees chatting about their latest endeavors. Bonus: free parking, or rent bikes from the host and ride off the calories afterwards!
