The "Rotondes" are two circular buildings that were once a depot and repair shop for steam locomotives. In the meantime, steam engines disappeared and it was finally decided to house exhibitions, performances and conferences/talks in Rotonde 1 and a Buvette and Klub (concert venue) in Rotonde 2.
Today it is one of my favorite places to have a drink after work or after attending a performance/exhibition! The Rotondes offer a very wide range of concerts and exhibitions of all types, storytelling for children, cine-concerts or even bike ballet shows or social gaming exhibitions, but you can also just go there to have a drink at the Buvette or enjoy their delicious Sunday morning brunch (don’t forget to book a table) in a family-friendly atmosphere.
My absolutely favorite moment to go there is in the evening, before sunset, to enjoy a beer with friends on the nice terrace with some fancy music in the background (even more music in August with a wide range of DJs playing music in the courtyard).
Don't miss the big yearly festival "Congés annulés" in August with a lot of concerts, screenings, performances and plenty of other events to come.
