From the outside, Letz ReFashion looks like it might be a thrift shop, but it’s not your average second-hand. In fact, you are going to find brand new designer items at a pretty steep price - but the clothes, shoes and accessories are upcycled, environmentally friendly, socially sustaining, and very, very cool.
I spy a cotton/linen jacket in a gorgeous silver fabric, priced at 120 Euros. It’s a unique, handmade garment, so you get what you pay for, and even more, actually. You are supporting not only a local artist but a local charity – Caritas.lu - and a way of life. A brightly striped zip-up jacket catches my eye – the tag reads ‘This garment is made of an old Indian sari with a lot of love and small details.’
The ‘brand’ name is Einzelstuck, which means one of a kind. In addition to making wonderful finds like this, you can also make your own wonderful pieces here one of the many workshops offered. And you are welcome to bring your Indian saris and pieces of beautiful silvery linen and other quality fabrics and clothes here to donate to the cause.
