When there isn't a long line around the corner, Kold is the quintessential experimental ice cream shop to visit in Malmo. A short walk from Trianglen mall, and located in the hipster Mollan neighborhood, Kold makes for the perfect stop to sit back and refuel.
What started in the kitchen as a passion project for Peter has turned into an iconic ice cream shop in Malmo with unique and daring flavors and catchy names with a subtle sense of humor. For something straightforward, you can always get a “Har Ni Vanil” or “Dulce de awesome” which adds a soulful twist to a classic vanilla or dulce de leche ice cream.
Personally, I like my flavors a little adventurous, the “Get it on” with goat cheese is an absolute delight. The goat cheese provides rich umami, with a sprinkle of candied walnuts and is not too overpowering. For something refreshing, I love the “Key lime pie” which is made with a gluten-free digestive biscuit and has the perfect level of tanginess to accompany the days when Malmo is blessed with some nice sun.
