Niklas Hofvander, with his expertise in marketing, art direction and film, has taken an unconventional, yet bold career transition.
His warm smile and welcoming personality invite you into Scoops - his Scandinavian modern candy shop. But this is not just any old candy shop. As Niklas and I discussed, “Scoops is heaven for discerning adults with a sweet tooth and fine taste.”
Now, what makes this candy so special? The candy selection curates Swedish and Danish artisanal candy producers.
Scoops sells Danish artisanal brands like Summerbird, which pioneered a ridiculously good caramel white chocolate, and The Mallows, which make a sophisticated adult version of the popular marshmallow, coated in flavours like Belgian chocolate and caramel or coffee.
Besides Scandinavian and Swedish candy, he curates popular Swedish board games, card sets and interesting items for play, like darts, wooden rings and playing cards by Gentleman’s Hardware — a design house that crafts tools, games, grooming accessories and more for men.
With a curation of such niche brands, along with the classic Swedish loose candy and other favourites, Scoops is bound to be your favourite and most memorable shop in Malmö.
A stone's throw away from the old town, Scoops is located in the Caroli shopping mall, which brings local residents from the neighborhood.
