Café Budapest is one of the nicest tea and coffee spots in all of Mexico City. It is located in one of the busiest streets in Condesa and yet it can go unnoticed. They offer delicious traditional Hungarian sweets and bread. Everything about Café Budapest emits a comforting feeling of nostalgia. All of its furniture is vintage and on the walls hang colorful ceramic plates and old photographs.

Nonetheless, their attention to detail goes beyond their general aesthetic. All of their pastries, coffees or teas are served on beautiful plates. Café Budapest is the perfect spot to go when you want to enjoy some peace in the middle of the city. If you have a sweet tooth, you should definitely try the Viennese coffee which is basically a large espresso with whip cream on top and their traditional strudel. If you like your coffee strong, their Turkish coffee never disappoints. I like to visit Café Budapest on rainy days every time I am in Condesa or when I plan to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in a while because the atmosphere is pleasant and the food/drinks are delicious.
