This is Milan's green hub. The park, initially built on disused areas of Breda Aeronautica, is now the largest in Milan, offering a green escape for all the surrounding municipalities. It is, in my opinion, an absolute dream in every season. You can walk, run, bike, or simply relax by the lake. On weekends, you'll find mini-markets, entertainment, and events for all ages. It's truly the park that keeps on giving.
Imagine getting lost in 630 hectares of trees, plants, birds, and little lakes. You can wander through dense forests and vast green fields, discovering different areas to suit your mood — whether you want to be active or just relax on the grass. You'll even find numerous exercise groups taking advantage of the space.
It's incredible to think that not so long ago, this area was one of the most densely urbanized parts of Europe, filled with historic factories and large housing developments. Thanks to the park's establishment, the remaining agricultural plots that had miraculously escaped construction have been reclaimed, and trees have been replanted. Now, you can even rent your own vegetable garden.
