When it comes to restaurants, I pay as much attention to quality ingredients as to the interior design and concept. I always seek some sort of perfection where the same love, care and creativity that is put into the food is also put into the environment. The Small is the epitome of a great culinary and visual experience.
When you enter the restaurant you are immediately immersed in an enchanting space where vintage furniture, a gigantic Mickey Mouse statue, a white horse and a couple of monkey lamps all coexist in a marvelous Alice in Wonderland-like world.
The tables are randomly scattered around the room and I feel like they purposely want to make you feel like you are part of the décor. My table was right next to a lovely arrangement of white lamb statues, the gigantic Mickey Mouse and a White horse. The waiter wasn't shy to place the wine bottle or whatever he needed on the wood structure in between the animal statues. By the end of the night I felt like Alice in Wonderland having tea with her imaginary friends.
The same love and attention is put into the menu where the Italian cuisine menu offers an interesting variety of dishes. You can see that the staff truly cares about this place and their work and this makes it that much of a nicer experience. Kudos to a unique spot!
