Navigli area is to me and many other Milanesi a place of memories and fun, of which the Canal Grande is the heart of nightlife. On its two banks are many clubs, including pubs, artist studios, shops and ancient courtyards.
Sitting and ordering something to drink during the "aperitivo" time and watch the crowd passing by is an impressive experience. Among a long list of pubs that start the famous "happy hour" from 18:00, "the village" is much more interesting than others. Maybe 'cause of the easy going atmosphere, good beer or the amazing buffet. When it's hard to decide where to go, instinct makes a decision. Franco supervises and make jokes with customers willingly. He nicely told me the story behind "The village Cafe" name.
"I like the Village People," he said, mentioning even the theme nights that until a few years ago he used to organise. He has experience, his pub always stays open till late.
