If you ever find yourself wandering around Porta Venezia hungry from all the sightseeing and shopping, with a serious craving for meat, head straight to Viro Steak Restaurant. This place is made for carnivores and, honestly, perfect for a date night or a slightly fancy evening out.
The first thing you’ll notice? A glass-enclosed dry-ageing chamber at the entrance — it’s basically window shopping for steak. Inside, the vibe is dark, moody, and just the right amount of sultry. You can go all-in with something extraordinary like the Aged Wagyu Juku (a true showstopper) or keep it casual with their decadent burger. Either way, your taste buds will thank you.
I’d call it fine dining’s more relaxed cousin: classy but not stiff, chic but still relaxed. The crowd is young, stylish, and having a good time. The prices are surprisingly fair—since cuts are sold by the kilo, you pay for exactly what lands on your plate. Pro tip: the tasting menus are tempting, but I really loved choosing my own antipasti to start, and the burger is a very legit choice.
Why Viro? Because sometimes you want an elegant meat feast in the heart of Milan next to the Metro and very close by sights and bars to get a nice cocktail afterwards. Come hungry, bring someone fun, and be ready to enjoy. Make a reservation!
