La Société des Arts Technologiques is a fantastic multidisciplinary place. It was created in 1996 as a laboratory to support a new generation of creators/researchers of the digital era in developing immersive technologies, virtual reality and creative use of high-speed networks.
The most impressive and singular element of this site is the satosphere, which is an enormous dome, dedicated to the development and presentation of 360° immersive experiences. It’s a must-see!
La SAT serves as a conference and music venue (mostly electronic music), artist residence and souk @ SAT every Christmas holidays, to name a few events.
It is also home to the Foodlab, a culinary creation lab with open kitchens and a great rooftop terrace, where it is very pleasant to share some drinks with friends at sunset.
La SAT is located in the old red light district where there is still a lot of action and interesting places to visit, inside and outside. It's a a great area of the city.
