If you like quirky and fun, and of course, sumptuous Asian food, then Khanitta is the place for you. This is an Asian street-food market with a twist.
Sporting an industrial-meets-Asia-street-market style, the décor of Khanitta deserves attention alone. Look up to spot colourful bunting, hanging birdcages, neon shop signs and upside-down paper umbrellas, a vintage bicycle carriage, to name a very few. And that’s just the ceiling – the colourful tuktuk is hard to miss, as are the numerous Buddha statues. This restaurant boasts vibrancy and fun, as do its exceedingly friendly staff.
Tip: If you’re into flamboyant and loud celebrations of your birthday, this is the place for you. The staff will bring out your cake or dessert with a very special, live rendition of the happy birthday and probably the rest of the restaurant patrons will join in.
The food is flavoursome and freshly made. Think spring rolls, meat and tofu balls and many wok dishes. If spicy is your thing, you can spice things up further with pepper oil provided at the table.
