Tracht is traditional attire and here in Munich, Bavaria this includes the ever beautiful dirndl and lederhosen.
Tracht is so deeply entwined in Bavarian and mountain life tradition that it can be difficult to draw the line between where and what you yourself would wear. After so many years in Munich, however not being born here, I found that to embrace my Munich side, I needed the perfect, but also high quality dirndl to fulfill that part of my heart which has become slightly German (and won't let go): I found it here in Almliebe.
Almliebe was founded by two sisters, conceptualising traditional attire from the mountainsides of the Alps and bringing it into the Bavarian capital. They focus on providing a selection of traditional attire that is high quality yet modern, authentic and sourced from Austrian and Bavarian tracht labels. I personally find they have a decadent selection of dirndl, and being there just makes your heart skip. Almost every single thing inside the store is beautiful in it's own way. Choosing the perfect dirndl is a challenge and yet once you choose one, it feels as though it is made for you.
Whether you are in the market for Tracht or simply want to absorb the beauty of simple yet authentic dirndl and lederhosen, I highly recommend stopping by Almliebe.

"The Flushing Meadows" in Munich reminds me of tennis, not a hotel with a rooftop bar. The point is that it's one of the best hidden rooftops in the city.
