Since my early teenage years, I've been interested in the field of graphic design, probably a side effect of my involvement in the skate and snowboard scene - renowned for its bold and progressive visual language. I really enjoy visiting festivals and exhibitions linked to design, be it physical or visual, and I often stop by Grafill's house in Møllergata 39 - display and gathering place for the creative industry in Oslo.
Grafill is a Norwegian organisation for those studying or working within the field of graphic design, illustration, animation, comics/cartooning and digital design. They regularly host great exhibitions, lectures, workshops and numerous social activities. For the update on all the current events it is best to just check calendar on their homepage, there is always something fun and interesting going on.
Grafill is, among other things, also responsible for Visuelt, the largest annual competition in the field of visual communication in Norway, and the annual competition Årets vakreste Bøker (The Year's Most Beautiful Books).
