There is no other area in Oslo that has seen such a quick development and modernization as Bjørvika - many new attractions, bars, cafes, and restaurants have opened their doors in the last years, and KUMI is one of them - located just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera House and right next to new Munch Museum facing the Oslofjord.
KUMI is the perfect spot for a relaxed breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack. Its interior is modern and cozy with large windows overlooking the sea. On a sunny and warm summer day, it's more than inviting to sit outside and enjoy the sea breeze.
The whole menu is vegetarian with many vegan options, all organic and with care to having as much local produce as possible. I tried the vegan quesadilla, sweet potato with plant-based aioli and the vegan American pancake as dessert. All of them were gorgeous and well presented. Recommended!
KUMI is easy to find, a short 5-minute walk from the Main train station (Oslo S) and convenient to combine with other attractions such as the new Deichman Bjørvika Library, the Opera House, the new Munch Museum and SALT.
