There is only one way and one way only to get there. You can't fly, you can't drive, and you can't ride a horse there (however you could try-----maybe). Good old-fashion man power will take you to this gem of a spot. Put your running or walking shoes on, or grab your bike or skate board and head on over to the Ben Franklin Bridge.
The only way to get on the Bridge is from 5th and Race street. The walk is pleasant and the views are great. If you want you can head all the way over to Camden, New Jersey however most people come right back or don't go the full distance.
The Bridge was open to traffic in 1926 and has been serving Philly and Camden ever since. The bridge today carries cars, pedestrians and a train all in different spaces over the large bridge. I hope if you are near 5th and Race you can take about an hour out of your day to walk over this wonderful Bridge with an excellent view.
