I may have an addiction as I am incapable of visiting South Street, Frankford Ave., or The Piazza, without perusing my favorite store, Jinxed. An eclectic mix of vintage and antique housewares, furniture, collectibles, gifts and a cornucopia of all kinds of knick-knacks are priced at a bargain and housed at 5Â locations around Philadelphia. As a result of its amazing prices, Jinxed has a high turnover rate, so I tend to purchase whatever item catches my eye before someone else snags it. Jinxed also has an Instagram account with daily posts of special items. Often times people call in and buy the item within an hour of the posting.
Visiting their locations is a stimulating experience, and is challenging to walk away from empty handed. An ample amount of books, cameras, artwork, taxidermy, antique photographs & postcards, rugs, and other chachkies keeps my eyes wondering and distracted. Prices range from as little as a few dollars for small collectibles to a couple hundred for nicer furniture.
All locations are open daily.
