Sampan has become the hottest happy hour in the city and the only one I know of that happens every day of the week from 16:00 to 19:00. The price is right as well, with everything on the menu ranging between $3 and $5. The dishes are a good variety of fresh Asian tapas with some being small nibbles and others could be a full meal. The restaurant also features a different special drink every day made with fresh ingredients; best of all, they are all just $4.
The happy hour seating is at any of the three bars at the restaurant and the outdoor seating on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. In the warmer months, my favorite is to sit at the sidewalk tables and watch life go by. There is also another outdoor bar behind the building that you can access either through the restaurant or down the small alley next to the restaurant. Just follow the sign that says Graffiti Bar.
Each area of the restaurant has a different vibe. The inside of the restaurant is oh so chic. There is a bar overlooking the kitchen in the restaurant so you can watch your food being prepared. I would recommend getting there as close to 16:00 as you can because every day it fills up fast.
