So you've been wandering around Porto and you lost track of time. It's way past dinner time and most restaurants are closed but you're hungry and you don't want a soggy-old sandwich from a vending machine. Museu dos Presuntos maybe the answer to your 'tapas-after-midnight' prayers.
Situated in the Foz area (where the river Douro meets the sea), it's one of those hidden gems known only by locals - especially those with a taste for late nights and after-hours comfort food. Open Tuesdays through Thursdays it's open from 19:00 'till 04:00, Fridays and Saturdays 'till 05:00 and Sundays 'till 02:00 - what more can you ask for?
Oh, right! Tasty food, good sangria and a warm, relaxing environment? It delivers all that too. Tapas or main dishes, you may choose what fits your appetite and you won't be disappointed.
Soak in the quirky, tavern-like decoration (including ham legs and pig heads displayed as artwork) and enjoy a nice, laid-back, unpretentious meal whenever the mood strikes.

"The Portuguese Centre of Photography" in Porto is located in an ex-prison in the centre. Protip: go all the way down the street at the building's left side.

"Padaria Ribeiro" isn't just a bakery - it's an icon of the city! I imagine they have been perfecting their pastry recipes since the 19th century...

"Parque da Cidade" is Porto's Central or Hyde Park, and it's the only one in Europe with a seafront! It's one of my favourite spots to do outdoorsy things.

"Café Santiago" serves perhaps my favorite Francesinha (as healthy as it looks) in Porto. And the "only" drink that goes along with it is Super Bock beer!
By
"Bugo Art Burger" was the first restaurant in Porto to cook special burgers. Even after all that time, it still has THAT twist! Mango chutney burger anyone?

"Botanic Garden" in Porto's Campo Alegre is a wonderful oasis in quite a busy part of the city. It's really worth discovering, if only as a relaxing refuge.
