Santa Catarina street is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful streets of Porto, where we can combine the old and classic buildings with the most traditional and modern shops of the city. There are always a lot of people there, with a lot of things to catch your attention. It's a place where I'm never too tired to pass by.
I love to admire the street performers who have on several occasions demonstrated their musical and artistic skills, and I usually spend a lot of time to listen to the street singers. When I go there, I like to appreciate the dress shops, namely, the trainee shops, and IÂ would recommend everyone to eat a "rabanada"Â at the Majestic accompanied with a cup of tea.
When the cold comes, it is usual to see the sellers of roasted chestnuts and I cannot resist buying a dozen of them. When I go to Santa Catarina street, I like to visit the FNAC shop, where I can admire, read and buy some books. Anytime is a good time to visit this street, but for me, the best season for a walk on Santa Catarina is during Christmas, because the whole street is decorated with Christmas ornaments and the street becomes more beautiful.
