The stone quarries are not places that just geologists look for. If you are into visual art, like I am, you will probably love them as well. Michelangelo made them famous, especially those in Carrara and Pietrasanta. A very precious moment to catch the incredible atmosphere you can also in Prague 5 next to Vltava river, in Zbraslav district. Just once a year!
The Kámen Zbraslav (Zbraslav Stone) company is one of the largest producers of natural crushed and mined aggregates in the Czech Republic and supplier for Prague City. Thanks to the local popularity, it has opened its door to visitors in September for several years. The event is suitable for individuals, groups and families with children. The top of the main wall reached by minibus and taking a ride in a dump truck are highlights, aren't they a big dream? To be honest, it is absolutely awesome! New visual brand identity, clear orientation and warm stuff will co-create your unforgettable experience.
The easiest way to get to Kámen Zbraslav is by car, taxi or eventually by bus (No. 314, 338, 361). A bus stop (Kamenolom Zbraslav) is in front of the area. From Smíchovské nádraží (Smíchov railway station on metro line B) it will take 17 minutes according to schedule.
To visit Kámen Zbraslav, check Facebook Kámen Zbraslav before every September weekend. There could be a last-minute call for visitors.
It's opened just one day a year.
