From the outside, it is not possible to imagine the colorful explosion you will meet inside. Ms. Amalija Andersone, a creative food and product photographer, set designer and artist, has created this brand new concept: a romantic and colorful café with a bright, vivid interior and paintings of cakes on the walls. It's a place to enjoy a peaceful cappuccino and freshly baked pastries, have some coffee and cake for take-away or enjoy an evening with friends on the summer terrace with an éclair and a glass of wine.
Cake House Amalija is located on the corner of Vērmane Park (Vērmanes parks), one of the most central and popular parks in Riga. So, after a nice walk or on your way from one part of the city to another, I would recommend a small pit-stop to enjoy the energy brought by the bright colors and having a peaceful moment of rest with a delicious cake.
Instagram fans will like this place because of the wonderful and impressive background when taking selfies. Parents with kids will enjoy some rest after going to the playground that's very close to Cake House Amalija. Of course, during summer, it is very nice to sit outside, on the terrace, and observe the people of Riga passing by.
