Located a bit outside of Riga's Old Town, in the building of Freeport of Riga, on the side of the channel, Pusdienu Restorāns Gusto ("Lunch Restaurant Gusto") offers quick and tasty lunch in a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Open only on working days, the place is a favorite among office workers, but anybody feeling hungry is welcome to have a meal here.
You can freely mix and match your preferred combination of various meat and fish options with side dishes like potatoes, vegetables, rice, lentils or buckwheat and add some fresh salad or topping or choose some soup and dessert.
Me and my colleagues like Pusdienu Restorāns Gusto a lot because of the fresh food that's cooked daily and the very reasonable prices. If you're not too hungry, half portions or snacks are available (that you can also take away). To have the best view over the channel and the fountain, it is recommended to choose a table at the window, although in summer you can also sit at the terrace outside.
What can be better on a typical office day than having a lunch break with good food and a great view? Pusdienu Restorāns Gusto is a perfect place for this! And after lunch it is nice to have a walk in the park nearby and then return to the daily office routine.
