The slogan chosen by LA Kanna – “light and tasty” – really captures its essence. And it is true: they have a very bright atmosphere, tasty seasonal food, and good service. These elements characterize this restaurant as stable signs of quality, and therefore it is always nice to return there.
La Kanna’s menu includes various appetizers, soups, and salads, as well as more serious choices including vegetarian options and desserts. The wine list consists of wines selected and brought back from vineyards and wineries in Italy, France, and Spain. Organic and local (made in Latvia) beer and cider is also available here, next to non-alcoholic refreshments. The prices aren’t as high as in super-classy restaurants but quite affordable for some fine dining.
There is a business lunch offer in the restaurant La Kanna during the daytime, as well as brunch on weekends to meet with friends for a longer chat or to be with family to celebrate some special occasion. But I must admit that going there for a romantic dinner is a very very good choice: the quiet interior and the calm, unhurried atmosphere create a special, intimate feeling and unforgettable memories.
