Beest boulders is located in the David Lloyd sports facility building and has over 220 different boulders spread over 4 floors. What I love about this location compared to others is definitely its views of the Rotterdam skyline. Especially at sunset, when the city glows and you’re mid-route on a wall, it feels like you’re part of the skyline yourself. The space is massive, which makes a big difference when climbing. There’s a great mix of routes for all levels, so whether you’re a total beginner or an advanced climber, there’s always a good level for you.
There is also a great cafe where you can just grab a drink or snack and meet new people. What makes Beest Boulders stand out, though, is the atmosphere. It’s social but chill, and there’s no pressure to be “good.” People help each other out with tips, and the staff are friendly and approachable. It's also open until 23:00, so you have so much time to try out all four floors.
