When walking through Het Park, Parqiet might catch you by surprise. It is situated in a former coach house, a charming white building with Parqiet situated on the ground floor (the top floors are apartments, what a wonderful place to live).
Parqiet serves homemade or locally produced food and drinks, they are open for breakfast, lunch, and drinks and snacks. The breakfast is delicious (lots of options like croissants, eggs, granola and overnight oats), accompanied by great coffee by Man Met Bril.
Most Rotterdammers know Parqiet as the perfect place to spend a summer’s day, as in summertime their terrace extends to the entire lawn in front of the coach house. With tables and chairs, children and dogs everywhere, it makes a chaotic but great place to escape the city and enjoy the sunshine.
In wintertime, the inside of Parqiet is small and cozy. You can sit beside the fire, making it the perfect hideaway from the cold and the rain. It is the type of place where you come in for breakfast, read the newspaper, meet up with some friends, and before you know it its dark outside and you’re drinking wine. Sounds like the perfect day, right?
