Oracle Park San Francisco

Baseball by the bay

""Oracle Park" in San Francisco is one of the finest baseball stadiums in America. With panoramic views of the bay, it's uniquely San Franciscan..."

Of the 30 professional baseball stadiums in America, San Francisco's Oracle Park (formerly AT&T Park) has asserted itself as one of if not the finest. With panoramic views of the bay, Oracle Park combines baseball with a uniquely San Franciscan attitude. With quirks like the Coca-Cola slide and right field "splash hits", there really is never a dull moment during a game.

I attended my first when I was too young to understand baseball, but I remember the day being a great experience nonetheless. I have since been to countless games with family and friends. Part of the beauty of Oracle Park is you don't have to be a die-hard baseball fan to have a good time. Numerous restaurants provide a fitting pre-game meal. Establishments like Perry's and Momo's are frequent stops for fans. The park itself provides above-average food too, with everything from Ghirardelli hot chocolate to burritos to sushi. And for those that find baseball a bit slow, the park has its signature Coca-Cola bottle slide; a must-have for any sports facility. The neighborhood surrounding is one of the trendier parts of the city and the bars and clubs provide an active nightlife after the game.

Being the landmark that it is, the park is very easily accessible by all means of transportation. It's a beautiful walk from the Ferry Building, but if you don't mind cramped spaces the K or T MUNI trains form Market Street are a good, albeit crowded, option. Uber and Lyft are also available.
