I’ve been to many coffee shops in San Francisco. However, I’ve never been to one where I felt more teleported to another place. What makes the Stable Café unique is that while you’re in an urban corner of the city, you feel like you’re in the countryside in Italy or maybe even Sonoma. Once you step inside, you feel Iike you’ve entered a modern hayloft or rustic barn. After you place your order, step outside to their beautifully spacious, landscaped courtyard. There are little charming nooks to have private conversations with your friend. In the city this is sometimes hard to come by.
In general, I’m more of a grab-and-go coffee person. This place is so warm and inviting and made me want to forget about my tasks for the day. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a savory breakfast item, creamy iced latte, and take your time with the serene space, kick back and enjoy the generally warmer weather of the Mission District. Go on and plan a relaxing afternoon with a friend or lover and catch up over some wonderful Neapolitan eats.
