I live right around the corner from this German restaurant and I always see the long lines outside the door and smell the delicious food coming from the open windows, but after a whole year I finally made it there! And I have to say, it did not disappoint.
I traveled around Germany all of June, and since being back I have craved meat, beer, and bread the true German way. Now that I've tasted Suppenkuche, I know my cravings will just get worse!
The portions here are large, and don't expect to go eating a healthy meal. Germans are all about heavy meats, sauces, and carbs. Which are some of my favorites. The bartenders know their beers though, and are happy to give you a taste of the draft choices since they are all German.
This spot is as authentic as it gets! Prost!
