On the hunt for the best oyster happy hour in the city, I came across the quaint-looking Woodhouse Fish Co., one of two of its locations in the city. Every day it offers up fresh and locally-sourced fish, but the best day of the week is Tuesday - when they serve oysters on the half shell for $1 a piece. I've been twice in two months alone, both times they had Tomales Bay oysters which were were briny and delicious. You have to ask for mignonette though, but it is not to be missed!
The portions here are pretty generous, so keep in mind if you're there with other people you can share! Since going, I have had the fries, garlic bread, many, many oysters, and the fish and chips.
One of the other great things about this place is the corkage fee is only $ 15, so split between a few friends, it may be worth to bring your own bottle of wine.
Be aware, it can get pretty busy on a Tuesday evening around 18:00, so come prepared to wait in line for awhile.
